(More customer reviews)I absolutely fell in love with this curling iron - great features for a great price - and I use it every day.It holds my hair perfectly without gripping too hard (I gave up on a Revlon one that just plain hurts to use).
The problem is, they're not really built to last.I actually just had my third one break last night.My first one was a slightly different model (which the CI-150i replaced), and it just stopped heating up after a few months.I exchanged it for this model, figuring it was something that had been a problem the fixed with the upgrade.Same thing happened to my second one within 7 months.I sent that one in under the 2 year warranty, and had a third one shipped back to me as a replacement.Last night, after 16 months of regular and trouble-free use, the spring on the clamp literally fell off into my hand as I was trying to put it away.I'll be sending that one in for repair/replacement tomorrow, with a note asking for a different model instead.
Overall, it's a great product to use...for a while...but I'd strongly recommend saving your receipt so you'll have it ready when you have warranty issues.
